The short version
Most people do not think about a roofer until something has already gone wrong. We would rather you called us before that. Barden Bros Group is a local roofing team working across Melbourne and Geelong, and we handle the whole life of a roof: looking at it, keeping it right, fixing it when it is not, and replacing it when it has had enough.
There is no job too small to ring about. A single slipped tile, a patch of bedding that has let go, a stain on a bedroom ceiling that only shows up after heavy rain. Those are the jobs that stop a five figure problem from ever happening, and they are the jobs we would rather do.
When you call, you get Aaron, not a call centre. We will come out, get on the roof, take photos of what we find and talk you through it in plain language. The inspection and the quote are free, and if the honest answer is that your roof is fine and you should spend your money on something else, that is what we will tell you.
Call Aaron on 0427 149 270 or send through the details and we will come back to you.
Worth knowing
What a roofer actually does for you
Not all of it is dramatic. Most of it is just keeping water on the outside of the building.
- 01 Inspection and report
- A proper look at tiles, ridges, valleys, flashings and gutters, with photos so you can see what we saw.
- 02 Maintenance
- Clearing valleys and gutters, resecuring loose tiles, touching up pointing before it goes.
- 03 Repairs
- Cracked and slipped tiles, leaks, flashing failures, storm damage and the odd mystery drip.
- 04 Restoration work
- Cleaning, rebedding, repointing and recoating a roof that is tired rather than finished.
- 05 Replacement
- Stripping and relaying when the roof has reached the end, including the bits underneath.
- 06 New installations
- New builds, extensions and complete roofing projects from frame up.
What an inspection covers
Looking before there is anything to find
Most of a roof is out of sight from the ground. An inspection is somebody up there with a camera going over the capping, the valleys, the flashings, the gutters and the tiles themselves, then showing you what is actually up there.
A cracked length of pointing or a slipped tile caught early is a small job. Left until the ceiling tells you about it, it is not.
Victorian weather does not negotiate. A roof either keeps it out or it does not.
In their words
What people say afterwards
Absolutely amazing work. Great communication, honest and best of all the work is superior. Highly recommend the team and would use them again. Best of luck to the boys at Barden Bros.
If you want a stress free, honest roof restoration these boys are to go to. Aaron and his team did an excellent job restoring my tired roof. They were professional, efficient, and the quality of their work is outstanding. My roof looks like new and I'm very happy with the results.
Quality workmanship and professionalism in ensuring that my roof is restored correctly. Always punctual, prompt responses, explains process clearly, takes pride in his trade and fantastic service! I can now relax and not worry about leaks whenever it rains as the roof's as good as new! Big thank you to Aaron and his team for the superb job done!
How often should a roof be looked at?
A look every few years is sensible for most homes, and sooner if you have had a big storm, if the house is under trees, or if the roof is over about twenty years old. It is a short job and it is free, so there is no reason to put it off.
Can you work on my roof if I am not home?
Usually, yes. As long as we can get safe access to the roof and to power if the job needs it, you do not have to be there. We will send photos and talk you through what we did.
Do you do commercial work as well as houses?
We work mainly on homes across Melbourne and Geelong. If you have a commercial or strata property, call and describe it and we will tell you honestly whether it is a job for us.
