Where to start
Most people ring us about one thing and we end up talking about three.
That is normal. A leak above the kitchen is almost never just a leak above the kitchen, and a roof that looks tired from the street is sometimes in better shape than the one next door that looks fine. So the first thing we do is get up there and look.
The inspection is free, it takes an hour or so, and you get photos of what we found and a straight recommendation. Sometimes that is a half day repair. Sometimes it is a full restoration. Occasionally it is: leave it alone, it has years in it yet.

Repair, restore or replace
The three answers, and how we pick one
- Repair
- The problem is in one place and the rest of the roof is sound. A cracked tile, a section of ridge, a flashing that was never formed properly. Cheapest and quickest, and the right answer far more often than people expect.
- Restore
- The tiles are still good but the roof as a whole has aged. Coating worn off, pointing cracked, moss and grime everywhere. Clean, repair, rebed, repoint and recoat, and the roof gets a long second life.
- Replace
- The tiles themselves are brittle or porous, or what is under them has gone. At that point repairs stop holding and a strip and relay is the honest answer. We will show you the photos that make the case before you spend the money.

How much does roofing work cost?
It depends entirely on the roof: the size, the pitch, the access and what is actually wrong. That is why the inspection and the quote are free. You get a written number before anything starts.
How quickly can you get out to look at it?
Usually within a few days for a quote. If water is coming in now, say so when you call and we will do what we can to get there sooner.
Do you cover both Melbourne and Geelong?
Yes, and most of what is in between. If you are not sure about your suburb, ring and ask rather than assuming we do not come out that far.
